Why Choose This Treatment

Collagen Stimulation

Encourages your body’s own collagen production to strengthen and support the skin over time.

Gradual Improvement

Results develop progressively, making changes feel subtle rather than sudden.

Beyond the Face

Depending on the product and treatment plan, biostimulators can also improve skin quality in areas of the body affected by laxity or crepiness.

TREATMENT AREAS

Where Can Dermal Fillers Be Used?

Cheeks + Midface

Helps improve age-related volume changes and support areas where declining collagen can contribute to folds and loss of definition.

Temples

Addresses hollowing and volume loss through the temples to create a more balanced transition between the upper and midface.

Jawline

Supports definition along the lower face while stimulating collagen in areas affected by structural changes and skin laxity.

Lower Face

Restore support around the jawline and areas of volume loss that can contribute to an uneven lower-face contour.

Neck

Biostimulation can improve skin quality, firmness, and the appearance of crepey texture throughout the neck.

Décolletage

Targets thinning, crepey skin across the chest by encouraging renewed collagen and improving overall skin quality.

Hands

Helps address visible volume loss and signs of aging on the backs of the hands for a more rejuvenated appearance.

Good to Know

Common Questions

What is a biostimulator?

A biostimulator is an injectable treatment designed to encourage your body to produce more of its own collagen. Rather than relying solely on immediate correction, biostimulators help strengthen the skin’s underlying support so improvements develop progressively over time.

Sculptra® and Radiesse® both stimulate collagen, but they use different ingredients and work differently. Sculptra® contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) and is primarily used to encourage gradual collagen production, while Radiesse® contains calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) and can provide structural support in addition to stimulating collagen and elastin. Your provider will recommend the option best suited to your concerns and goals.

Traditional dermal fillers are primarily used to add or restore volume and create more immediate changes in contour. Biostimulators focus on stimulating your body’s own collagen production, so results develop more gradually. Depending on your goals, the two treatments may also be used together.

Biostimulator results develop progressively as your body produces new collagen. Timing varies by product, treatment area, and individual response, and improvement may continue for several months following treatment.

Results vary by product and individual response, but the collagen-building effects of biostimulators can provide long-lasting improvement. Maintenance treatments may be recommended to help preserve your results over time.

Your treatment plan depends on the product used, your starting point, and the result you hope to achieve. Some patients benefit from a series of treatments, while others may require fewer sessions. Your provider will recommend a plan during your consultation.

Yes. Biostimulators can be incorporated into a broader treatment plan alongside dermal fillers, neurotoxins, and skin rejuvenation treatments when appropriate. Each addresses different aspects of facial aging and skin quality.
